Sue Garrett

Executive General Manager - Australia

A willingness to take on any challenge and a strong belief in vision, focus and discipline has propelled former retail travel consultant Sue Garrett to senior FCL roles across three continents.

After joining Flight Centre Limited as a travel consultant Sue's leadership potential was quickly identified. Working with her Team Leader to develop her leadership skills, Sue was soon promoted to leader of her own team.

One of the first and most rewarding highlights of Sue's career was as team leader when her team won Top Global Shop in their first year of trading. Winning this award as a team taught Sue a lot about the power of belief, of passion and of having a vision.

Sue's career continued to sky rocket with intercontinental opportunities seeing her work for Flight Centre Limited in Australia, South Africa and the UK. Her motivation and ability to succeed became evident in her first year as Executive General Manager of South Africa, where she not only learned about foreign markets, but also how to achieve better results.

As a leader Sue is passionate about setting goals, vision and the right direction for her team. One of her keys to successful leadership is her ability to connect to people and bring out the best in each person. Always ready to take on a new challenge, Sue has gone from strength to strength and continues to lead with inspirational style as General Manager of Leisure at Flight Centre Limited.
