Honeymooning in Las Vegas

Ok so we didn't do the whole Eloping thing is Las Vegas, but we did have our Honeymoon there. Someone once said to me "You have to go to Las Vegas once in your life". My partner and I agreed, and why not do it with style and go for our Honeymoon. The City of Las Vegas is unbelievable if you can call it a City at all. We would describe it as more as a huge Theme Park.
After driving for the entire day in Dessert we thought we'd never get there, then all of a sudden we hit the HOOVER DAM and Lake Mead, the largest man made lake in America and was once the largest in the world.
Once we arrived in Las Vegas itself it was just coming on night fall and we just stared in awe of the lights and colours, it was like nothing we have ever seen before. After hours of nothing but Dessert what a contrast, but this was only the beginning. I've often heard the saying "When in Vegas, don't sleep at night", and I must admit we didn't do too much of this. We were determined to experience as many Casino's as possible, we did some gambling and received plenty of free drinks. It was unbelievable, there were Pyramids and a Sphinx, there was Ceasar's Palace, and a Volcano, where else are you going to see this?
It's true that the City has some special attraction at night- neon rules here. The atmosphere is very exciting and after a while it becomes very hard not to resist the Slot Machines, Video Poker, or Blackjack. Might I say that I didn't do too badly with the gambling, having a few wins here and there.
As the sun was coming up each morning we usually made our way back to our hotel. After catching up on the sleep we had missed the night before we made our way back to one of the Casino's for a late lunch. The great thing about the Restaurants in the Casino's is that it's really cheap and most of them are all you can eat, and after a night out on the Las Vegas town I can assure you that an all you can eat Restaurant comes in very handy.
One tour I recommend is the Limousine Tour of this City, it's a really great way to see all the sights and they even include Champaign. We also treated ourselves to a Show, we saw Celine Dion...just amazing. Another trip that we went on was a Horse Back Champaign Lunch over Indian Lands, this trip was fantastic too.
Las Vegas is a perfect destination for a Honeymoon. You have it all, adventure, playing at the Casino's, Nightlife, comfortable accommodation, and great Weather. What else could you ask for!
